Pancreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas. The pathology occurs in acute and chronic form. The condition has a rather specific symptomatology: severe pain in the left hypochondria, sometimes with a lumbar character, unpleasant stools, nausea and vomiting.

Diet for the treatment of acute pancreatitis
If we talk about what type of diet is recommended for a patient with an acute form of inflammation, then this is treatment table 5P. For the first two to four days, complete hunger is recommended. Only liquid is allowed - decoction of wild rose berries, Borjomi (without gas), weak tea. The patient then switches to nutritional therapy. Diet for combined pancreatitis with gastritis or cholecystitis
If the underlying disease is accompanied by the development of cholecystitis, the menu may include:
- slimy soups made from rice, oatmeal or semolina;
- porridge boiled in water is strictly forbidden to add milk and butter;
- vegetable juices, compotes;
- homemade white bread toast;
- mashed meat, fish;
- low fat cottage cheese.
